David Welker

David Welker is a New York–based artist whose work bridges fine art and rock and roll history. Over the past two decades, he has created iconic imagery for Phish, Pearl Jam, Grateful Dead, and The Black Keys, helping define the visual language of contemporary concert culture. His early collaboration with Phish on the Rift album cover remains a landmark moment in rock poster and album art history.

Rooted in early 20th-century surrealism and underground comix, Welker’s work is distinguished by intricate compositions and masterful hand-rendered typography.
